It’s important to say a bit about me, beyond a mere list of what I’ve done.
Creating these intricate, story telling exhibits has to be a partnership, and I love to work with good, creative, straightforward people with integrity and passion for the story they want to tell.
Meanwhile, travelling has long been my compulsion. I’ve travelled in about 100 countries between my creative projects. My main obsession these days, that guides my life and outlook, is travelling in Africa.
I’m a competent photographer with a love of candid travel portraits. I’ve often been stills photographer on our film shoots too.
I’m also a competent sketcher of concepts that look as if they could be built. I developed this through frustration with ‘renderings’ that made exhibits look limitless and misled clients.
I’m immensely practical and have a very highly developed spatial sense – good for fitting things in awkward spaces.
I love to write – in another life I would be a travel writer.
I’m always very budget conscious, having frequently worked on fixed budgets, in which the only ‘wriggle room’ impoverishes my own pocket. It focuses expenditure!
